Six panorama courts under LED light, heated through the winter, running down a long central walkway. The scale of it is the first thing you notice.
There is a counter for coffee and snacks, a shop where you can rent, test and buy, and lounge seating along the glass. The changing rooms and showers are newly built and it shows.
Six courts makes it the largest padel setup in the canton of Bern, and it runs from six in the morning to midnight, seven days a week. Behind the hall there is around 150 square metres of covered patio with a lounge, bar and barbecue.
Upstairs they rent out a fifty square metre room for meetings, seminars and yoga, which is more thought than most clubs give the space above the courts.
I came in the middle of the day and it was quiet, and none of that was in use. That is a timing problem more than a club problem, and the rooftop bar and the patio suggest it is a different place in the evening.
